To protect your investment and extend the life of your silk:

  • Store away from sunlight, moisture and dust
  • Flat storage with some air circulation is best
  • Items arrive in a Brajoh signature, neutral pH box with acid-free, archival tissue paper used by museum conservationists… ideal for long-term storage
  • Dry cleaning: Entrust the cleaning of your silk to a dependable, vetted dry cleaner for best results; be sure to point out any stains; to preserve the shape of rolled hems, ask cleaner not to press them flat

  • Cold-water handwashing: Use a mild detergent for delicates; soak one silk item (do not combine) for five minutes while gently swishing with fingers, then drain and give a quick cold water rinse to remove soap; do not wring or twist to remove excess water; dry flat on a towel — you can roll it in the towel to absorb water; if wrinkled, iron on “cool” setting while silk is still damp (so as not to burn) and do not press rolled hems
